AT&T entered two teams for the 2nd consecutive year in the Corporate Distance Medley Relay at the prestigious Penn Relays on April 25th, 2008.
The DMR requires one woman and one master. Our teams were all masters except for Morgan Small-Cash, with four of our runners in their 50s!

Team A improved by 1 second and Team B improved by 27 seconds compared to last year. Last year we finished 10th and 11th out of 15 teams. This year we finished 12th and 16th out of 23 teams. That's an improvement from the 33rd percentile and the 27th percentile to the 48th percentile and 30th percentile respectively.
Three of our runners improved their time from last year - Bob Peters by 2 seconds, Kirk Pierret by 3 seconds, and Paul Squires by a whopping 18 seconds. Paul Zahray and Terry Dembek were only slightly off last year by 2 seconds and 1 second respectively. Morgan Small-Cash ran a nice 400 after not running on the track for several years and Jim Knopka ran a great 800 after not running on the track for many years. Thanks to Archie Glaspy who filled in for us in the 800 so that we could field two full teams. Archie is a 400 meter specialist who competed earlier in the 4X400 Masters 50 and over. His team finished 2nd out of 21 teams with a time of 3:47.64. That means an average of 56.91 per person, so I suspect that Archie ran between 54 and 56 for his 400!
