The event will be similar to our 2020 virtual event; we are developing an in-house Meet Management System replacing athletics.net. We have modified a few rules, 2021 Rules, with the intent of both encouraging participation and leveling the playing field for all participating teams.
Registration will open soon, any results performed starting May 1st can be entered once you have registered.
The most significant rule change is that there are three separate championships:
Relays/Team Events - Team Championship
Individual Age-group Events - Team Championship
Combined Total Team Points per Participant - Team Championship
The bulk of the $25 entry fee will be a donation to the Black Bear Sled Dog Program which rehomes Alaskan sled dogs from Alaska to other parts of the US. This program is run by Gordon Smith and Denise Lawson, long time USCAA participants and members of the Booz Allen Hamilton team. Since Gordon is doing the bulk of the work setting up the Meet Management System, we felt it only appropriate for the Black Bear Sled Dog Program to be the principal beneficiary of the entry monies.
