   Many thanks to all who participated in the 1996 USCAA National =
Corporate
   Championship held at the beautiful University of California at San =
Diego on=20
   July 20 and 21, 1996.

   We finished fourth this year in a four-way battle of a hungry Exxon =
team,=20
   General Electric and the meet winner, Lockheed. It was the closest=20
   Division I Championship in a long time.

   During the final team picture, it was an emotional scene as those =
present
   divided into their respective teams for next year.  65% of those =
present=20
   went to Lucent while 35% stayed with AT&T.  Many of us began with =
this=20
   team in 1985 which has since won 7 national titles including a span =
of=20
   six-out-of-seven with two three-peats.

   AT&T highlights of the 1996 Meet:

   	- National Record!!! - Seniors Relay Team
   	  (Gordon Beckmann, Bernadine Crawford, Jim Rice, Paul Henry)
  =20
   	- Gold Medals in the Sub Masters Sprint and Sub Distance Sprint =
Relays.
  =20
   	- Linda Horowitz won her age group for the second year-in-a-row=20
   	  leading the Women's Teams to a Gold Medal in the 5K and=20
   	  Silver Medal in the 10K.
  =20
   	- 5th Place Medal in the Team Throw, the highest we've ever finished
   	  in this event. Both Don Dematteo and Ken Peterson threw very well.

   	- Master's Relay team was 2nd by a nose.

   	- Masters runner, Chris Horton had two great races: a 4:45 mile=20
   	  and 2:04 800 Meter.

   	- Karl Amundson had two great 1600's: 4:19 and 4:20.

   	- Clint Prouty had two good 800's in the Sub Masters Distance=20
          and Sprint Relays.
