       Many thanks to all who participated in the 1994 USCAA
       National	Corporate Championship at Colby	College	in
       Waterville, Maine on July 16 and	17, 1994.

       Missing several key runners, the	team performed beyond
       expectations finishing second to	a strong GE team and just
       ahead of	a vastly improved team from Exxon.

       Even though we did not win, the combination of perfect
       weather,	a beautiful setting on the Colby College Campus	and
       some unexpected outstanding performances	by several team
       members made for	an enjoyable meet.

       Highlights of the 1994 Meet:

       o The Seniors Relay Team	completely destroyed the previous
	 National record by clocking a 3:01.8.

	   o Bernadine Crawford	continued to amaze everyone with an
	     incredible	30.6 effort in her 200 Meter leg of the
	     Seniors Relay. This PR shattered her previous best	by
	     almost 4 seconds!

	   o Paul Henry, who turned 50,	ran an excellent 400 Meter
	     leg of 55.5 which helped set a new	National Record	in
	     the Senior's Relay.

	   o Gordon Beckmann broke the finish tape for the Senior's
	     team as he	ran another fine 600 Meter anchor leg in
	     1:35.42.

       o Tony Belcher, at 41, ran a phenomenal 400 Meter leg of
	 50.55 in the Sub-Master's Sprint Relay	which lead the team
	 to a 1st place	Gold Medal.

       o Karl Amundson anchored	the Executive Relay to a 2nd place
	 finish	running	six or seven seconds faster than expected
	 in the	1600 Meter leg.	Karl ran 4:21.39!

       o Brian Martin ran a scintillating opening 800 Meter leg	in
	 the Sub-Masters Sprint	Relay in 1:59 leading his team to a
	 Gold Medal.

       o Jim Addonizio ran two good 800's in the Finals	of the
	 Executive and Pyramid Relays.

       o Tom Donahue and Paul Squires, from the	early 80's team,
	 returned and ran together for the first time in 10 years
	 in the	Master's relay.	Tom ran	a 2:05 and Paul	ran a 2:07
	 en route to a Gold Medal.

       o The meet would	not be complete	without	the ageless Sammy
	 White,	competing in his 13th straight nationals, leading
	 his team to a Gold Medal in the Team Jump.

       o And finally Chris Monroe proves that perseverance pays
	 off. For the past two year's he has run time trials in	the
	 Masters 800 Meters. However this year he ran as an Open
	 runner	in an 800 Meter	Leg of the Pyramid Relay in the
	 Preliminaries.

       Thanks again to all of the regional and local coordinators
       who help	make our team a	success.  Bill Lowder has been a
       tremendous help this year inputing race times, keeping the
       database	current	and as a coordinator in	the Oklahoma Area.

       Bill and	Steve Webb were	our housing coordinators while Al
       Felenchak helped	coordinate shuttle vans	to and from the
       airport.

       Special thanks to Frank Smith, Ann Skudlark, Christy St
       Clair, Al Burt and Brendan Putnam who helped me with timing
       and recording the results.

       Looking forward to seeing everyone again	next year in Des
       Moines on July 8th and 9th.
